UMMC enjoys collaborative relationships with several local organizations including Genesee County Family YMCA, The YWCA of Genesee County, the Senior Center and Office of the Aging, Western New York Veteran's Affairs, the Visiting Nurse Association, Lake Plains Community Network, the Healthy Women's Partnership, Genesee County Health Department, Genesee County Cornell Cooperative Extension and Genesee Cancer Care.
The emphasis to coordinate complementary care, health education, health screenings and other preventative care programs that do not require an inpatient setting avoids duplication of services and provides a continuum of care for patients.
